Ray Chambers & Erin TeagueNote from the Co-Presidents

Over its more than 35 years of existence, the African American Student Union (AASU) has served as a stellar support system for African American students at Harvard Business School (HBS). Since its founding in 1968, AASU has also had a mandate to make a positive impact in the broader Boston community that serves as our home during our two years at HBS. We are committed to furthering AASU’s role within the HBS community as well as maintaining the AASU tradition of providing activities that impact all areas of African American students’ lives.

Unite, serve and lead. AASU’s programs are anchored around the convergence of these three principles: Uniting current students and alumni by maintaining connections with our history, empowering the AASU community by supporting each other during the HBS experience and exhibiting leadership at HBS and beyond. Career coaching, academic support, alumni perspectives and social events all contribute to the invaluable lifelong connections that develop between first and second year students, as well as AASU alumni.

We are honored to be a part of an AASU Leadership Team that is motivated by these three frameworks and look forward to building on the accomplishments of the students that have served before us.

Sincerely,

Ray Chambers & Erin Teague
